2 tbsp fish sauce
Gem Lettuce x 2
1 chilli pepper, sliced
1/2 tsp sugar
1 tbsp vegetable oil
3 tbsp lime juice
3 cloves garlic, chopped
450g mince beef
100g fresh coriander, chopped
For serving: siracha hot sauce
1. Add vegetable oil to a non-stick pan. Add in chopped garlic cloves and cook for 30 seconds.
2. Add in fish sauce and minced beef and cook for about 5-10 minutes, breaking up the meat, ensuring it is completely brown and cooked through.
3. Stir in sugar, lime juice, and chopped coriander.
4. Break off lettuce leaves and serve the meat mixture along with chilli slices and hot sauce (optional) and enjoy!
Notes: you can use turkey or chicken meat instead of beef and also serve it on buns or bread instead of lettuce leaves. The recipe is dairy free, high in protein and low in carbs.
